Dr. Urzola obtained his specialty at the University of Milan, Italy where he graduated with honors and continued his training as a specialist in Microsurgery at the Université Henri Poincaré, France.
Dr. Urzola was a fellow in facial aesthetic surgery at the Policlinique de Gentilly, France and in post-bariatric and body contouring surgery at Hackensack Medical Center in New Jersey, USA.
Dr. Urzola was also a fellow of the American Anti-Aging Association where he obtained his training in stem cells and was subsequently appointed professor at this institution.
Dr. Urzola received his training in genetics and genomics at Stanford University in San Francisco, California.
He was the President of the Costa Rican Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ACCPRE) and has served in this organization as vice-president and treasurer.
